Every age plays a slightly different game. Here is what’s different about yours — worth knowing even if you played for years, because these rules didn’t exist then.
The build-out line
A coach moving a group up from U10 should be told the line is gone. It changes how the team restarts, and nothing announces it.
Heading
The weekly budget is the part coaches miss. A coach who runs heading twice in a week is not being reckless, they are unaware there is a cumulative cap at all — say the cap, then trust the trained adult: about 30 minutes and 15-20 headers per player per week, everything counted, including games.
Offside
A coach bringing a group up from U10 should be told the build-out line is gone and offside now runs from halfway. Nothing else announces it, and it changes how the team restarts and how high the back line can step.
