Four Corners Aggressiveness and Fitness
You play a ball into the middle, four players sprint for it, and whoever wins it must hold off the other three for five seconds and pass it back to you.
Winning 50/50 balls is about aggressiveness — going after the ball with speed, determination, and vigor — and all that sprinting doubles as fitness.

One thing to remember: Aggressiveness in winning 50/50 balls — going after the ball with speed, determination, and vigor — with fitness built in.
How it runs — the whole game in one sentence
You play a ball in and shout 'GO' — first player from each corner sprints for it; hold a clean win for five seconds and pass it back to you for a point, and the first team to five wins.
1Organize the players▾
Coach does
Make four teams and stand each at a corner cone. Take your spot outside the grid near the middle of one side with the ball supply.
Coach says
Four teams, four corners. First player in each line — you're up the second the ball flies.

Coach does
Walk one rep — you play a ball into the center of the grid and shout a command, like 'GO,' to begin. The first player in each of the four lines sprints after the ball, trying to reach it first. Whoever wins it cleanly must hold possession from the other players for 5 seconds, then pass the ball back to you — that's a point for their team. If anyone steals it, the thief now tries to hold it for 5 seconds instead.
Coach says
When I shout 'GO,' sprint — first one there wins it. Got it? Keep it for five seconds, then find me with a pass.
3Play▾
Coach does
Feed ball after ball and keep score — a point for each clean 5-second hold and return pass, and the first team to 5 points wins. Push every player to go after the ball aggressively, with speed, determination, and vigor.
Coach says
GO! Want it more than they do — five seconds, then back to me!
Look for: The first three steps — players going after the ball aggressively, with speed and determination, not waiting to see who else wants it.
4Switch and repeat▾
Coach does
Rotate through the lines so everyone gets turns, and change your service as they improve — flighted balls, bouncing balls, rolling balls, balls with heavy topspin or backspin.
Coach says
Next four, step up — this one's coming in high!
If it's not working
If it's one endless scrum and nobody ever holds it for five seconds, slide two cones out while they play — a bigger grid gives the winner somewhere to escape to.
Want to go deeper? Optional — not needed to run the game.

What are they learning?
How can I change it?
Harder: Change the service — flighted balls, bouncing balls, rolling balls, or balls with heavy topspin or backspin.
