1v1 50/50 to Goal
Two lines race from the goalposts around their cones, fight for the 50/50 ball you play in, and whoever wins it attacks the goal — first team to 10.
Winning 50/50 balls is a fight — sprint at top speed, battle for possession, and attack the goal the instant it's yours — wrapped in a game younger players love.

One thing to remember: Sprinting at top speed, battling for and winning 50/50 balls, attacking the goal quickly once possession is won, staying in the fight when defending — and having fun.
How it runs — the whole game in one sentence
On your command the first two sprint around their cones, battle for the 50/50 ball you serve, and either one can score once they win it — a goal is a point, first team to 10.
1Organize the players▾
Coach does
Put the goalkeeper in the goal, split the remaining players into two even teams, and line them up on each goal post. The first player in each line starts with one hand on the post. Keep your ball supply close.
Coach says
Two teams, one on each post. Hand on the post — you go on my call.

Coach does
Walk one rep — on your command, the first player from each team sprints around the cone in front of their line. As the players approach the cones, you play a 50/50 ball into the middle. The two fight for possession and quickly attack the goal — either player can score after winning it. A goal is a point for their team.
Coach says
Sprint around your cone — the ball's coming in. Win it, and go score. Either one of you can finish it.
3Play▾
Coach does
Run the races and keep score. Push the sprint — top speed around the cone — the battle to win the 50/50, the quick attack on goal once possession is won, and the continued fight from whoever's defending.
Coach says
Full speed! Win that ball — and if you lost it, take it back!
Look for: The battle — both players fighting for the 50/50, and the winner attacking the goal the moment possession is won.
4Switch and repeat▾
Coach does
Keep the lines cycling — next two players, hands on the post, new serve. The first team to 10 points wins. Keep it fun; that's what this one is for.
Coach says
Next two up — hands on the post. Who wants point number ten?
If it's not working
If the player who loses the 50/50 quits on the play, remind them the point isn't settled — either player can still win it back and score, so keep fighting for the ball.
